Job summary

Gensler’s Brand Design studio seeks an experienced design manager to lead brand projects end to end, spanning signage, websites, exhibits, and positioning. You’ll own client satisfaction, quality control, and financial performance while coordinating across disciplines.

You will drive proposals, mentor multiple teams, and interface with internal and external partners to deliver cohesive experiences. A strong track record in environmental graphics and brand strategy is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8-12 years of relevant experience in PM, account management, design, or brand strategy.
• Proven track record as a project manager on environmental graphic design, brand strategy, identity, print and web design.
• Strong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skills.
• Experience with the entire project lifecycle through production and delivery of brand projects.
• Experience mentoring multiple project teams and negotiating contracts/fees.

Gensler's Brand Design studio is a collaborative team of designers, strategists, and storytellers that engages with a wide variety of clients on projects of all sizes—from signage and websites to immersive exhibits and international brand positioning. Your Role

Gensler is searching for an experienced design manager with a successful track record of managing all phases of projects focusing on brand design. In this role, you will lead complex projects with multiple workstreams to deliver cohesive and integrated experiences.

You will have overall project responsibility for client satisfaction, quality control and financial performance.

What You Will Do

• Facilitate great design results by cultivating and maintaining positive client and team relationships
• Lead coordination across disciplines
• Perform as point of contact on projects for clients, vendors, and teams
• Create and manage project scopes, budgets and workplans
• Manage project financial performance
• Assist in the development of proposals and collaborate in the strategic development of new business
• Interface with internal design, accounting, marketing, and legal teams; as well as external partners and consultants
• Manage team staffing and workload across projects

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8-12 years of relevant experience as a Project Manager, Account Manager, Graphic Designer or Brand Strategist
• Demonstrated success as a project manager on Environmental Graphic Design, brand strategy, identity, print, and web design. Portfolio of work managed should be submitted.
• Strong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skills
• Experience with the entire project lifecycle, through production and final delivery of brand projects
• Experience leading, managing and mentoring multiple project teams, including the ability to create and communicate clear and attainable project objectives and requirements
• Experience preparing project proposals, negotiating contracts and fees, and coordinating the bidding process
• Proven fiscal accountability and responsibility
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word). Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
• Interest in working within environments, ability to understand scaled drawings, signage and graphic systems, and digital technology a plus

• The base salary range will be estimated between $85,000 - $105,000. Gensler's total compensation package is multi-layered and includes a base salary, two annual bonuses paid in December and June.
