Job summary

Rexel Canada is seeking a Branch Manager for our Kitchener location. Lead daily branch operations, drive sales strategies, manage key accounts, and ensure service standards are met.

You will oversee staffing, training, and compliance while promoting a positive work culture and operational efficiency in a dynamic electrical distribution environment.

Qualifications

• A college education plus 3–5 years of related experience in electrical distribution or equivalent.
• At least 2–3 years of management or supervisory experience.
• Strong business sense to analyze financial reports and implement plans.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications; AS400 experience is a plus.
• Experience in selling electrical products is required; 3+ years in the electrical industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and recommend sales strategies and marketing objectives; forecast sales volume and profit.
• Maintain and develop sales and profit objectives with key accounts.
• Ensure adherence to customer service standards and measure performance.
• Schedule work flows for counter and inside sales to meet service levels.
• Hire personnel and promote a positive branch culture.
• Implement company policies on inventory, delivery, billing and security.
• Monitor inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Branch Manager to become an integral part of our Kitchener location.

As a Branch Manager, your principal responsibilities will be to:

• Develop and recommend sales strategies, marketing objectives, including sales volume and profit forecasts to the District Manager.
• Maintain and develop sales and profit objectives with assigned key accounts.
• Maintain accurate customer service measurement criteria and take appropriate action to ensure compliance with customer service standards.
• Prepare or ensure the preparation of work schedules in such a way that workflow for all areas (including counter sales and inside sales functions) are adequate to ensure compliance with customer service standards.
• Hire personnel in the Branch in accordance with Company standards and procedures.
• Promote and maintain a positive work climate within the Branch.
• Ensure proper implementation and application of company policies and procedures in general, but specifically those regarding inventory control, delivery, billing and collection, and security.
• Keep track of products to determine causes for discrepancies between inventory counts and stock control records, and recommend remedial action to resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications

• A college education plus 3-5 years of related experience within the electrical distribution industry or a combination of education and experience.
• At least 2-3 years of management or supervisory experience.
• Sound business acumen to analyze financial reports and to develop appropriate implementation strategies to meet/exceed fiscal plans and targets.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• AS400 experience would be an asset.
• Must have experience in the sale of electrical products/industry.
• Minimum 3 years in the electrical industry.

Additional Information

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is CAD 80,000 – 96,000. Final compensation within this range will be determined by factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. This range does not include variable pay or other components of Rexel’s total rewards package.
