Job description

At Sylvite Agri-Services, our team of agronomists, crop specialists, and dedicated support staff share one common goal: helping growers succeed. We’re looking for an experienced Branch Manager to lead our Mitchell location and help drive the next chapter of growth for our business.

If you’re a collaborative leader who enjoys building high-performing teams, strengthening customer relationships, and delivering operational excellence, we’d love to hear from you

About Sylvite

At Sylvite, we’re not in the business of supplying materials—we’re in the business of building lasting partnerships. Over 40 years ago we got our start in the agriculture business, but that was just the beginning. Today we’re a trusted partner, solving challenges across agriculture, chemical supply, logistics, and consumer products.

We are seeking a dedicated Branch Manager to join our team in Canada. In this pivotal role, you will lead our branch operations and drive sales initiatives while fostering strong relationships with our clients. Your leadership will be essential in aligning our efforts with Sylvite’s mission of maximizing crop yields and navigating supply chain complexities.

About the Role

As Branch Manager, you’ll provide the leadership, direction, and support needed to ensure the continued success of the Mitchell branch. You’ll oversee daily operations, lead an experienced team, support business growth, and ensure customers receive the exceptional service they’ve come to expect from Sylvite.

Working closely with the General Manager, Agri-Services, you’ll be responsible for achieving branch performance goals while creating a safe, collaborative, and customer-focused workplace.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead all aspects of branch operations, including warehousing, inventory, logistics, and customer service.
  • Develop and execute local business plans that support sales growth and profitability.
  • Manage branch budgets, operating expenses, and financial performance.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team across sales and operations.
  • Support the sales team through strategic planning, customer relationship management, and joint customer visits.
  • Ensure customer orders are processed accurately and delivered efficiently.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory, safety, licensing, and company requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, employees, suppliers, and internal business partners.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiencies, and reduce costs.
  • Foster a culture centered on teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement, and exceptional customer service.
About You

You enjoy leading people, solving problems, and finding opportunities to improve the business. You’re equally comfortable working with customers, coaching employees, and making strategic decisions that support long-term success.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • 8+ years of progressive management experience.
  • 5+ years of experience within agriculture or a related industry.
  • A university degree in Business, Agriculture, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with experience managing budgets and operations.
  • Proven leadership experience developing, coaching, and motivating teams.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • A commitment to customer service, safety, and continuous improvement.
Why Choose Sylvite?
  • Established company with a solid reputation and stable customer base provides reliable and consistent employment for our team members
  • Focus on work-life balance and a working environment that values your well-being and emphasizes safety
