Master, Canada’s leading HVAC-R distributor, is seeking a Branch Director in Oshawa. The role leads branch operations, drives revenue, and guides a skilled team across Canada and the U.S.

You will manage budgets, coordinate procurement, and ensure top‑notch client service in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in HVAC-R with wholesale distribution experience, strong leadership, and a proven ability to develop sales strategies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HVAC-R leadership experience in wholesale distribution.
• Proven ability to lead and coach a team to achieve revenue goals.

• Excellent planning, organization, and time management.
• Bilingual English/French; effective communication with suppliers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate branch operations to achieve goals.
• Plan, administer, and control budgets for contracts, equipment, inventory, supplies.
• Provide support to client services, including answering client calls and offering technical support.
• Take client orders and ensure timely fulfillment.
• Interview, hire, and oversee training of staff to maintain a skilled workforce.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue.
• Create a positive working climate and motivate the team.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers for timely product availability.

What you will accomplish with us:

• Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate branch operations to achieve organizational goals.
• Plan, administer, and control budgets for contracts, equipment, inventory, supplies, etc.
• Maintain effective administrative management practices.
• Provide support to client services, including answering client calls and offering technical support to clients and employees.
• Take client orders and ensure timely fulfillment.
• Plan and participate in annual inventory activities.
• Interview, hire, and oversee training of staff to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
• Manage internal staff, providing leadership, motivation, and coaching to achieve team goals.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and efficient product availability.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve objectives and increase revenue.
• Create a positive working climate that fosters sales efficiency and professional development of team members.
• Evaluate the needs of the team and make recommendations for necessary actions.
• Stay updated on markets, trends, and developments in the industry to stay ahead of competitors' activities.
• Develop and maintain good business relations with internal and external stakeholders.
• Resolve technical problems related to products in a timely and effective manner.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

What You Bring to Our Team:

• 5 years experience or more in the HVAC-R industry (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration)
• Experience in a wholesale distribution environment
• Excellent leadership, motivation, and coaching skills with a focus on people and results.
• Good interpersonal relationships and ability to work as a team player.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to support convictions with sound reasoning.
• Excellent skills in planning, organization, and time management.
• Ability to make decisions and work independently.
• Strong sales abilities and persuasiveness to drive revenue growth.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Proficiency in English and French (or willingness to learn) (frequent interactions in English with Master employees and suppliers based in our offices in Ontario, Western Canada and Maritimes, and interactions in French with suppliers and employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa.

Compensation Information:

• Base Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000 annually
• Supplemental Pay Types Include: Annual bonus

The final salary will be determined based on the candidate’s skills and experience, in compliance with applicable regulations.
