Job summary

Weber Supply in Canada is seeking a warehouse associate to receive and process shipments, organize stock by zones, and move items using pallet jacks and forklifts. You will load/unload trucks, build pallets, and maintain stock accuracy with handheld devices.

Candidate will follow WHMIS/GHS safety regulations, assist in cycle counts, and keep the work area clean. Prior warehouse experience and familiarity with AS400 or WebSeries are a plus.

Qualifications

• Familiar with industrial MRO parts and procurement practices.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety guidelines (WHMIS/GHS) beneficial.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Receives product efficiently and accurately via handheld device.
• Organizes products using predetermined zones.
• Moves and stacks materials using dolly or pallet jack.
• Loads and unloads trucks and builds skids for shipments.
• Keeps production station stocked with totes, cartons, and packaging materials.
• Performs forklift inspections and minor maintenance as needed.
• Maintains cleanliness and reports safety hazards or equipment issues.
• Communicates daily progress to warehouse management.

Job description

• Receives product efficiently and accurately via a wireless handheld device
• Organizes products using predetermined zones
• Places products into zones using a dolly or pallet jack
• Load and unload trucks
• Move and stack materials
• Keep production station supplied with empty totes, cartons, and packaging materials as needed
• Rotate floor stock upon receipt
• Follow forklift operating guidelines and procedures
• Perform proper forklift inspection, minor servicing, and repairs as necessary
• Observes safety regulations i.e., working in a safe manner and wearing the required safety attire at all times
• Use warehouse management software AS400 and WebSeries
• Receive and process shipments / transfers
• Conducts daily cycle count of inventory as per reports
• Picks stock from barcoded zone locations to complete orders for customers (internal and external)
• Confirms number of items picked into inventory system using a handheld device
• Ensures product is packed in containers efficiently and safely
• Builds skids to be sent to customers and or transfers to our western branches
• Communicates daily progress to Warehouse Managers/District Sales Managers
• Maintains good housekeeping including reports of any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions
• General housekeeping duties in the warehouse or production area and duties as assigned
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of industrial MRO and OHE safety is preferred
• WHMIS / GHS and Safe Lifting knowledge is preferred

Physical/Mental Demands:

• Regularly lift/move objects that range from 10-50 lbs.
• Capable of learning new skills and transferring that knowledge immediately and accurately
• Frequently sitting, standing, walking, crouching, bending and infrequent climbing, carrying, pushing and pulling of skids via a pump truck and products via a dolly
