Job summary

Finning Canada is seeking an entry-level Branch Administrator in Fort McMurray to support the day-to-day administrative needs of our branch, including documentation and purchasing activities. This role offers hands-on experience with office processes in a supportive, team-oriented setting.

You will gain exposure to timekeeping, onboarding requirements, asset requests, and logistics coordination while developing foundational administrative skills in a stable career path.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Post-secondary education in administration, business, or related field is an asset.
  • Previous administrative or office experience is an asset (co-op, internship, or 1 year+)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Experience with purchase orders or administrative systems is an asset, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Timekeeping for regional Parts employees and tracking training requirements.
  • Coordinating onboarding requirements, including asset requests, D&A testing, and site access.
  • Scheduling and tracking drug and alcohol testing.
  • Maintaining ICP updates and employee records.
  • Creating subcontractor purchase orders in M3 and assisting with invoice issues.
  • Processing employee expenses in Concur and ordering supplies through Ariba.
  • Coordinating travel for temporary transfers and training; scheduling vehicle maintenance.
  • Supporting department communications and other administrative initiatives.

As a Branch Administrator at Finning, you’ll support the day-to-day administrative needs of our branch, helping keep operations running smoothly behind the scenes. This is an entry-level opportunity where you’ll gain hands‑on experience with office processes, documentation, and purchasing activities. If you enjoy staying organized, working with systems, and supporting a team, this role is a great way to build your career in a stable and supportive environment.

Schedule

Monday to Friday | 37.5 hours/week

Salary

Approximately $60,000 annually

Timekeeping & Workforce Administration
  • Timekeeping for all regional Parts employees
  • Tracking and monitoring Workday training requirements
  • Coordinating onboarding requirements, including asset requests, D&A testing, and site access
  • Scheduling and tracking drug and alcohol testing
  • Maintaining ICP updates and employee records
Procurement & Financial Support
  • Creating subcontractor purchase orders in M3
  • Assisting with invoice issues and follow-up
  • Processing employee expenses in Concur
  • Ordering supplies through Ariba
Travel & Logistics Coordination
  • Coordinating travel for temporary transfers and training
  • Scheduling vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Supporting meeting coordination and general administration
Operational Support
  • Ordering and maintaining discount posters and promotional materials
  • Managing retail clothing and company swag inventory
  • Supporting department communications and other administrative initiatives
