Job summary

A leading early childhood services provider in Calgary is looking for a Brain Development Technician. In this role, you will support children receiving specialized funding, working alongside therapists to implement individualized plans promoting development. This position requires strong communication skills, experience with children having diverse needs, and a proactive approach to teamwork.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in child development or behavior.
  • Experience with children with diverse needs.
  • Recent police clearance and Child Intervention Record Check.
  • First Aid & CPR preferred.

Brain Development Technician (Therapy / Education Assistant)

About Us :

FB Education Services is an Alberta Education-accredited early childhood services provider offering early intervention programs for children in Calgary and Strathmore.

The Opportunity :

Join our team as a Brain Development Technician, supporting children receiving Program Unit Funding (PUF) and Mild / Moderate (M / M) funding. Work alongside therapists and educators to implement individualized intervention plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.

Responsibilities :

  • Implement personalized intervention plans.
  • Monitor and document children's progress.
  • Collaborate with educators and families to adapt materials.
  • Attend team meetings and professional development.

Requirements :

  • 1+ year of experience and / or education in child development or behavior.
  • Experience working with children with diverse needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Recent police clearance and Child Intervention Record Check.
  • First Aid & CPR (preferred).
  • Active role requiring occasional lifting (up to 40 lbs) and movement.
  • Exposure to noisy / disruptive behavior and childhood illnesses.
