What You'll Be Working

This role is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

What You'll Be Doing

As an Occupational Therapy Technician, you’ll work under the guidance of qualified Occupational Therapists to deliver hands-on, practical rehabilitation support. You will:

• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions in a range of settings
• Assist in developing and delivering tailored therapy programmes
• Manage your own caseload of non-complex patients under OT supervision
• Complete elements of occupational therapy assessments and contribute to outcome measurements
• Support equipment ordering and maintenance, including monthly audits
• Record and report progress, risks, and outcomes clearly and accurately
• Assist with discharge planning and home environment assessments
• Educate and motivate patients, families, and carers in therapeutic activities
• Contribute to case conferences and multidisciplinary meetings
• Provide support and guidance to students and junior staff
• Undertake relevant admin, clinical documentation, and housekeeping tasks
• Help ensure high standards in health, safety, and patient safeguarding
  
  

What You'll Have

• Experience in a healthcare, therapy, or rehabilitation setting (essential)
• Strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Empathy, patience, and a proactive, can-do attitude
• Understanding of rehabilitation principles and therapeutic support
• Willingness to learn and complete relevant competencies
• Commitment to personal development and CPD
• Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
