Job Description:

If you're a licensed Class 3 Boom Driver looking to advance your career with a nationally established company, ABC Supply, North America's largest wholesale distributor of exterior and interior building products, offers professional driving opportunities that allow you to do what you love every day and still be home every night.

In this role, you will ensure the safety of each delivery from the moment you leave the facility until you have completed each job.

Using the boom crane truck, the driver delivers shingles and other roofing-related materials to various sites and unloads per customers' instructions regarding placement and locations.

Responsibilities and Duties
  1. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on vehicle and equipment operated.
  2. Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
  3. Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
  4. Maintain truck logs of working hours, addresses of loads, and vehicle service and repair status.
  5. Record and maintain required documentation including driver and delivery logbook.
  6. Communicate effectively with the public, customers, and co-workers both verbally and in written form.
  7. Assist in loading and unloading of trucks when needed. Ensure invoice or packing accompanies shipment.
  8. Deliver products with proper paperwork to customers in a courteous and timely manner.
  9. Ensure that any debris caused by loading/unloading is cleaned up.
  10. Provide feedback to supervision regarding customer issues, mechanical problems, or delivery concerns.
  11. Maintain trucks' overall service and perform required inspections.
  12. Complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift, including logs, inspection reports, delivery receipts, etc.
  13. Train others when required.
  14. Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  1. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  2. Boom Truck experience is an asset.
  3. Folding Boom 22 tonnes Crane Level B certification.
  4. Forklift experience is an asset.
  5. Current Clean Drivers Abstract - Yearly.
  6. Class 3 license with Air brake endorsement.
  7. Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance.
  8. Exceptional organizational abilities with task prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
  9. Strong work ethic.
  10. Professional and mature demeanor under stressful situations.
  11. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  12. Confident, consistent, and decisive personality.
  13. Ability to work with little supervision; self-directed.
Work Conditions
  1. Work under cover, indoors or outdoors.
  2. Manual dexterity required.
  3. Travel may be required.
  4. Ability to lift or move up to 100 pounds.

Pay Rate Information

$30-40 per hour, based on experience & qualifications.
