Job Description:
If you're a licensed Boom Truck Operator/Driver - Class 3 looking to advance your career with a nationally established company, look no further. ABC Supply, North America's largest wholesale distributor of exterior and interior building products, offers professional driving opportunities that allow you to do what you love every day and still be home every night.

In this role, you will ensure the safety of each delivery from the moment you leave the facility until you have completed each job. Using the boom crane truck, the driver delivers shingles and other roofing-related materials to various sites and unloads per customers' instructions regarding placement and locations.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on vehicle and equipment operated.
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
  • Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
  • Maintain truck logs of working hours, load addresses, and vehicle service and repair status.
  • Record and maintain required documentation, including driver and delivery logbooks.
  • Communicate effectively with the public, customers, and co-workers both verbally and in writing.
  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks when needed. Ensure invoices or packing lists accompany shipments.
  • Deliver products with proper paperwork to customers in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Ensure that any debris caused by loading/unloading is cleaned up.
  • Provide feedback to supervision regarding customer issues, mechanical problems, or delivery concerns.
  • Maintain trucks' overall service and perform required inspections.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift, such as logs, inspection reports, delivery receipts, etc.
  • Train others when required.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Boom Truck experience is an asset.
  • NCCCO certification is an asset.
  • Forklift experience is an asset.
  • Current clean drivers' abstract (annual update).
  • Class 3 manual transmission experience is an asset.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, task prioritization, multitasking, and time management.
  • Strong work ethic and professional demeanor under stress.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Confident, consistent, and decisive personality.

Work Conditions
  • Work indoors or outdoors as required.
  • Manual dexterity required.
  • Travel may be necessary.
  • Ability to lift or move up to 100 pounds.
