Position Information


Location: Coquitlam Campus

Salary Range: $52,218 to $58,304 annually. Salary scale and wage increments are in accordance with the Collective Agreement.

The Opportunity

This position is responsible for a variety of critical Bookstore accounting functions using the College Bookstore's computerized inventory control system (ICS). It provides general accounting support to the Bookstore, including analysis of revenue and expenditures. The role maintains a standard of excellence in customer service within the College Bookstore, liaising with Finance, suppliers, and customers to ensure all Bookstore accounting issues are addressed in a timely, efficient, and constructive manner. The position requires providing exceptional client-centered service consistently to all stakeholder groups.

WHAT IT TAKES

  • Completion of the second level of CGA / CMA program at a recognized institution, supplemented by at least two years of relevant work experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of computerized inventory management systems, ERP, accounting, or related software. Knowledge of retail operations including Point of Sale systems and cash handling methods.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to produce statistics and reports. Proven ability to develop and implement procedures and documentation.
  • Proficiency in Data Entry at an intermediate level and proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.

Additional Information

  • This full-time, regular position is available starting July 14, 2025.
  • Hours of work are typically Monday to Friday, between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm.
  • Flexible scheduling based on operational needs; shift days and times may change.
  • Evening and occasional weekend work may be required.
  • The position is located at the Coquitlam campus and may require work at other campuses and offsite locations.
