Job summary

Airswift is hiring a Bookkeeper/Accountant for a 1-year contract in Paris, Ontario. The role focuses on manufacturing costing, BOM management, and accurate ledger maintenance to support inventory valuation and product costing.

You will work with Bills of Materials to align material costs with production, maintain the general ledger and handle vendor invoices and billing for finished goods.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of direct experience in manufacturing/production.
• Experience with Bills of Materials (BOMs) or standard costing.
• Strong general ledger maintenance, double-entry bookkeeping, and reconciliations.
• ERP experience and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, analyze, and reconcile the general ledger for manufacturing and operating transactions.
• Audit, update, and manage Bills of Materials to ensure material costs match production.
• Record and track inventory valuation across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods using BOM metrics.
• Allocate direct labor and factory overhead costs to production jobs.
• Investigate discrepancies between standard BOM costs and actual costs.
• Process vendor invoices for raw materials and manage billing for finished goods.

Our client is looking for a Bookkeeper/Accountant to join their team on a 1-year contract in Paris, Ontario.

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Bookkeeper/Accountant with strong foundational manufacturing knowledge to manage our general ledgers and production costing. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining precise financial records and working directly with Bills of Materials (BOM) to ensure accurate inventory valuation and product costing.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, analyze, and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accurate categorization of all manufacturing and operating transactions.
• Work closely with the production team to audit, update, and manage Bills of Materials to ensure material costs match actual production.
• Record and track inventory valuation across raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods using BOM metrics.
• Apply manufacturing knowledge to allocate direct labor and factory overhead costs accurately to production jobs.
• Identify and investigate discrepancies between standard BOM costs and actual manufacturing costs.
• Process vendor invoices for raw materials and manage client billing for finished goods.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of direct experience working inside a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proven experience working with Bills of Materials, multi-level BOMs, or standard costing systems.
• Strong expertise in general ledger maintenance, double-entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliations.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (like NetSuite, SAP, or QuickBooks Enterprise Manufacturing) and advanced Excel skills.
