The successful candidate will handle full-cycle accounting, inventory costing, and collaboration with operations to enhance financial processes. CPA designation or active pursuit is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA program is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and reporting packages.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Prepare and maintain account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Monitor and analyze inventory balances, transactions, and adjustments.
• Support product costing, manufacturing variances, and cost-of-goods-sold analysis.
• Work closely with operations and production teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Assist with cash flow management and working capital reporting.
• Prepare GST/HST and other applicable tax filings.
• Assist with audit and year-end requirements.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to management as required.
• Assist with ad hoc accounting and finance projects.

This role is ideal for an accounting professional with manufacturing industry experience who is looking to take the next step in their career and has either obtained their CPA designation or is actively pursuing/working toward their CPA.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
