We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper. (Staff Accountant) This role is ideal for a finance professional who excels in managing day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close processes, while also contributing to a positive employee experience through HR support.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Prepare and send invoices according to specified milestones; follow up promptly on outstanding payments.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate general ledger entries.
- Maintain and update prepayment schedules and ensure proper allocation of expenses.
- Prepare and submit sales tax and payroll tax payments in compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Process Expense Reimbursements
- Assist with month-end close activities, including :
- Posting journal entries and accruals.
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts.
- Reviewing and adjusting trial balances.
- Support bi-weekly processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Administer employee benefits programs (health insurance).
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal HR policies.

Qualifications :
- Degree or diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field, or Certification in bookkeeping
- Minimum 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, with exposure to HR administrative tasks.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end close procedures.
- Experience with payroll processing, benefits administration, and tax compliance.
- Familiarity with labor laws and financial regulations.
- Certification in HR (e.g., CPB, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
