Craft Property Group Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of affiliated entities in Burlington, Ontario. The role focuses on full-cycle bookkeeping, month-end close, reconciliations, payroll for select entities, and government remittances.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Experience with full-cycle bookkeeping and month-end processes.
  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles.
  • Experience with payroll, government remittances and reconciliations.
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple companies and entities.
  • Complete month-end closing activities and ensure transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Maintain general ledger entries, reconciliations and supporting documentation.
  • Manage accounts payable and ensure invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time.
  • Process payroll for select companies.
  • Prepare and submit government remittances, including HST, WSIB and source deductions.
  • Prepare financial reports and support financial analysis as required.
  • Assist with year-end working papers and preparation for corporate tax filings.
  • Maintain organized financial, corporate and supporting records.
  • Provide general accounting and administrative support across the organization as needed.

Job description

Accounting Full Time Burlington, ON $25 - $30 CAD per hour

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team and support the day-to-day accounting and financial administration for a portfolio of affiliated companies , including property management operations and real estate holding entities. This role will specifically support Adakite Inc.

This is an opportunity for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented and takes ownership and accountability for their work. You’ll manage full-cycle bookkeeping across multiple entities and play an important role in keeping our financial records accurate, organized and up to date.

What You'll Do
  • Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple companies and entities.
  • Complete month-end closing activities and ensure transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Maintain general ledger entries, reconciliations and supporting documentation.

What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping, accounting or similar experience.
  • Experience with full-cycle bookkeeping and month-end processes.
  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with payroll, government remittances and account reconciliations.
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft 365.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple companies, deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Proactive, dependable and comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities.
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Bookkeeping or a related field is an asset.
