Job summary

JardegRecruiting a Boilermaker Journeyperson to join the Suncor Firebag maintenance team on site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This full-time permanent role offers a 14 days on / 14 days off rotation, 12-hour days, camp accommodations, and charter flights from Calgary or Edmonton.

Qualifications

Certified Boilermaker Journeyperson.
Valid Full Class 5 Driver’s License in good standing.
Satisfactory completion of Pre-access Drug and Alcohol Test.
Common Safety Orientation (CSO) and Energy Safety Canada tickets listed in job posting.

Responsibilities

Develop a layout and plan the sequence of work to be done in a shop or field environment.
Layout, shape and cut metal using hot and cold methods.
Fit and assemble components using fastening methods such as bolting and welding.
Inspect, test and perform repairs on pressure and non‑pressure systems.
Operate cranes and other hoisting equipment to move and place materials.
Design, assemble and use winch and block systems; perform large tandem lifts.
