Job description

Rentco Equipment Ltd. is a fast-paced local rental company that has been servicing the Peace Region for over 60 years. We rent and sell construction, oilfield, and homeowner equipment and consumables in the areas. Our Fort St. John branch is an authorized dealer for Bobcat, Develon, Stihl, and Hilti.


We are currently adding a full-time Bobcat Sales Representative to our Sales Department.


As the Bobcat Sales Representative, you are responsible for full cycle sales which includes:

  • Maintaining current relationships and expanding Rentco’s Bobcat prospect database by creating sales leads and initiating prospect calls
  • Working with customers to determine their requirements and assisting them with the purchase of products with focus on heavy equipment
  • Emphasizing product/service features and benefits, quoting prices, discussing credit terms, and preparing sales order forms and/or reports
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Bobcat and other sales lines
  • Conducting product demonstrations for prospects
  • Attending trade shows
  • Completing financing paperwork
  • Closing sales deals which may include the delivery of equipment to the customer's site
  • Following Rentco’s policies and procedures which includes safety rules and expense reporting

You have the following skills and experience:

  • 2 years of demonstrated full-cycle sales experience and previous experience with and knowledge of heavy equipment
  • Class 5 drivers’ licence with a clean abstract and a B.C trailer endorsement
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers
  • Ability to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures
  • Ability to always work ethically and with integrity and passion

You will be able to work in the following conditions:

  • A combination of working in office and traveling to client locations while hauling a trailer within assigned territory
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors while wearing required PPE
