Job description

Beverage Container Management Board – Board Director

ID# 24-2455 Location: Edmonton, AB

The BCMB Board of Directors seeks a Board Director to provide strategic counsel on rate setting, regulatory affairs, and the overall governance of the beverage container system. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with the Board and gain in-depth knowledge of Alberta’s beverage container system.

This Board Director position will begin with a one-year period to offer the successful candidate a chance to observe the Board’s operations, particularly its rate-setting mechanisms, and understand the full scope of the responsibilities involved in this position. During this trial period, the individual will engage with the Board as an observer, learning the nuances of the role and the Board’s processes, with a view to fully committing to the responsibilities after the year.

At the end of the one-year period, the Board Director will transition into a full Board Director position, effective June 2026, subject to the successful completion of the initial year.
