Job summary

Colonial Group is hiring a Sandblaster / Blast Booth Operator to mask, prep, and sandblast per specifications. You will read work orders, run computer tasks, and maintain a clean, safe workspace. Weekend shifts are available, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include meeting tight production schedules and following both written and verbal instructions. A strong work ethic and rapid learning ability are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years sandblasting experience.
• Training in industrial coatings preferred.
• Overhead crane certification preferred.
• Knowledge of safe work practices.

Job description

As a Sandblaster / Blast Booth Operator you will be required to competently mask, prep., prepare materials and sandblast in accordance with required specifications.

Responsibilities

• Ability to meet tight production schedules
• Able to follow both written & verbal instructions
• Able to read work orders and do computer work
• Must have a strong work ethic
• Meticulously organized and ability to keep a clean workspace
• Quick to learn new skills
• Have attention to detail

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience sandblasting
• Adequate training in the application of industrial coatings preferred
• Certified Overhead Crane Training preferred
• Understand and perform safe work practices

Physical Requirements

• Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs - fitness test required
• Standing on your feet for a long period of time
• Have good eye to hand coordination
• Be able to bend, crouch and kneel for extended periods
• Ability to wear personal protective gear most of the day

Shift Availability

• Weekend Shift, Friday thru Sunday, 6:00am - 6:00pm
