Job summary

Loop is a fast-growing fintech startup based in Toronto seeking a Business Operations Associate to help run day-to-day across technical, financial, and strategic workstreams. You will work directly with leadership and collaborate across teams at our downtown Toronto office.

This role combines execution with analysis, requiring comfort building financial models, negotiating with partners, and supporting commercial terms with vendors.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in operations, finance, consulting, or a high-growth startup environment.
• Analytical power: proficiency with SQL and advanced financial modelling (Excel/Google Sheets).
• Commercial acumen: ability to digest legal docs and negotiate terms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of crafting narratives for pitches and clear partner emails.
• Startup mindset: proactive doer who thrives with variety and wears multiple hats.
• Technical curiosity: comfortable with tools like Notion, Slack, and G Suite; eager to build prototypes or test internal tools.
• In-person collaboration: able to work effectively in a fast-paced, in-person Toronto setting.

Responsibilities

• Strategic & Capital Initiatives: prepare materials for investor relations, participate in investor pitching, and build financial models.
• Technical & Product Ops: bridge business and product by building prototypes, automating workflows, and using SQL to extract insights.
