Job summary

Abell Pest Control Inc. is seeking a General Contractor/Bird and Wildlife Technician in Vaughan, Ontario. You will manage a territory, perform inspections and treatments for restaurants, offices, warehouses, and homes, and install Bird Barrier systems to deter wildlife.

The role offers a base salary of $42,000–$56,000 plus commission, a company truck, extended health benefits, and ongoing training with opportunities for growth in a family-oriented culture.

Qualifications

  • A Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Previous wildlife experience.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Exclusion/General Maintenance Experience.
  • Willingness to obtain your Applicator's License.
  • Sales experience an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a territory of customers.

  • Install Bird Barrier bird deterrent products (netting/gridwire).
  • Remove small animals such as squirrels, raccoons, possums, etc.
  • Identify bird control issues and sell services to clients.
  • Install one-way doors and permanent exclusion techniques.
  • Grow the business through sales with commission on new business.
  • Manage customer needs and optimize their program on-site.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Bird/Wildlife will be responsible for:

  • Managing a territory of customers
  • Providing inspections and treatments to a variety of business ranging from restaurants, food plants, warehousing to office buildings and residential homes
  • Installation of Bird Barrier bird deterrent products (netting/gridwire)
  • Removal of small animals such as squirrels, raccoons, possums, etc.
  • Identification of bird control issues and sale of service to potential clients
  • Installation of one-way doors and permanent exclusion techniques
  • Building new business through sales with high commissions are paid on new business
  • Managing customer needs and optimizing their program on-site

Requirements:

$42,000- $56,000 - this position offers commission and incentive bonuses in addition to the base salary. This position is an existing vacancy within our organization.
