Location : Must be able to travel to all sites that we service including: Kingston General Hospital Site, Hotel Dieu Hospital Site, Alternative Healthcare Facility Site, Providence Care Hospital, Lennox and Addington General Hospital, Weeneebayko Area Health Authority, Renal: Brockville, Belleville, Moose Factory, Bancroft, Smith Falls, Picton, Napanee, and patient homes within the Kingston Regional Renal Program region.
DESCRIPTION:
Under the direction of the Department Manager or delegate, the Biomedical Technologist will participate and contribute to the medical equipment management program of the department at all KHSC sites. The technologist will repair, maintain and conduct preventive maintenance on various electro medical equipment and/or hemodialysis and water treatment systems to ensure safe and proper function for both patients and users.
Within this role the employee is accountable for contributing to the delivery of the KHSC strategy. As an employee, one must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for actively promoting and supporting patient and family centered engagement and care in all we do.
