Job summary

Northern Health is seeking a registered physiotherapist to join the Physiotherapy department in Prince George. You will assess, plan, implement, educate, and evaluate patient responses to physiotherapy, working within an interdisciplinary team to meet hospital goals.

You will contribute to quality improvement initiatives and collaborate across the unit, post-anesthesia care, and hospital services, aligning with NH priorities and standards.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered Physiotherapist with relevant provincial College.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Ability to collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to achieve department goals.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, educate and evaluate patient response to physiotherapy treatment.

Position Summary

Are you a registered Physiotherapist looking to highlight your knowledge, skills, and abilities in a new and dynamic environment? We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Physiotherapy department. In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, this position is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, educating and evaluating patient response to physiotherapy treatment. The physiotherapist is part of an interdisciplinary team and assists with the hospital and departmental goals and objectives including continuing quality improvement activities.

This POSITION IS A 4-ON/4-OFF ROTATING POSITION ASSIGNED TO POST-ANESTHESIA CARE UNIT/HOSPITAL@HOME.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work:

Days, Evenings - 08:00 to 19:12, Rotating

Qualfications

• BA Degree in Physiotherapy and/or Rehabilitation Medicine.
• Registered member of the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia.

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to promote safe, competent, patient care.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all members of the health care team.
• Ability to communicate and maintain good public relations with family and friends of patients.
• Ability to recognize and intervene appropriately in an emergency situation.
• Physical ability to perform duties of the position.
