Job summary

Apex Graphics in Mississauga, ON is seeking a Bindery Production Coordinator to partner with the Bindery Manager on machine assignments, scheduling, and daily performance. This on-site role offers a clear path to broader production planning responsibilities.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in bindery/finishing and strong numeracy, with hands-on experience using finishing equipment and a collaborative mindset. Monday–Thursday, 6am–4pm, full-time.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production experience in bindery, print finishing, or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on knowledge of finishing/converting equipment and production workflow.
• Strong numerical aptitude with quick, accurate mental calculations.
• Demonstrated problem solving and exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently.
• Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-moving production environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drafts of technician/operator machine assignments for Bindery Manager approval.
• Distribute assignments to Lead Hands and resolve discrepancies with Leads.
• Ensure jobs and equipment are properly staged to minimize downtime.
• Review and correct production data daily, including press data when required.
• Report out-of-target performance to the Bindery Manager and, where appropriate, the Press Manager.
• Assist with production scheduling in collaboration with the Bindery Manager.
• Review time and attendance for the hourly team to ensure payroll accuracy.
• Oversee material supply inventory — trays, boxes, glue, shrink-wrap, and other materials.
