Job summary

SinaLite is a leading wholesale trade printer and custom packaging provider servicing 20,000+ print businesses across Canada and the US. We’re seeking a Print Production Coordinator to help raise the bar in a dynamic, fast-paced facility.

Location: 335 Steelcase Road East, Ontario. Compensation: $20.00-$24.00 hourly. On-site, comprehensive benefits, and ongoing learning opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with experience or vocational/technical certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with others in a team.
• Basic computer skills and good written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform bindery cutting functions as noted on work orders or tickets.
• Operate cutter equipment to finish orders.
• Process handwork assembly according to specifications.
• Load the work order and prepare the skid into the jogger.
• Align the stacked printed job in the cutter guide and initiate cutting.
• Inspect printed jobs for imperfections and adjust as needed.
• Package jobs, complete work orders, tickets, and delivery receipts.
• Record and maintain work/job information for tracking purposes.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and perform routine maintenance.
• Notify supervisor of any quantity or quality issues.

Compensation:

$20.00- $24.00 per hour

Responsibilities and Duties:

Cutting Operations:

• Perform bindery cutting functions as noted on work order/job tickets.
• Operate equipment / machine to finish orders.
• Process handwork assembly according to specifications.
• Retrieve the correct work order and load the skid into the jogger.
• Align the stacked printed job into the cutter guide and prepare to cut by activating it.
• Examine the stacked printed job for imperfections and adjust accordingly.
• Package jobs, complete work orders, tickets, and delivery receipts as necessary and placed in their assigned areas.
• Record and maintain work/job information onto an activity sheet for tracking purposes.
• Perform quality controls on the assigned machine/ equipment.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns, conduct minor repairs, and perform routine maintenance.
• Maintain knowledge of safety equipment.
• Troubleshoot any issues that may arise and/or report to Bindery Supervisor/Team Lead.
• Notify Bindery Supervisor and/or Team Lead of any quantity or quality issues.
• Other duties as assigned.

Equipment and Supplies:

• Clean and maintain equipment and work area following maintenance procedures and update maintenance logs.
• Monitor and manage inventory of bindery supplies; order and stock as instructed by the Bindery supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED with experience or vocational/technical certification.
• Previous print knowledge/experience is an asset.
• Previous experience in operating a cutter machinery is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal skills e.g. working well with others, communication, positive attitude.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good written, verbal and mathematical skills.
• Able to apply written instructions to machine set-up and maintenance.
