Salary Range: $60,000.00 To $75,000.00 Annually

Foundry has in-house design, project management, fabrication, and installation services to execute projects across North America. Our stainless fabrication division proudly builds high quality fixtures exclusively for the foodservice industry. Our locally owned and operated business includes an innovative showroom and test kitchen, equipment inventory, white-glove delivery team and skilled stainless installation. VISION + PURPOSE

• Design and Foodservice Drawing Support: Collaborate with design team members, sales consultants, and clients to produce high-quality Revit design drawings. Support the team’s transition from AutoCAD to a Revit-dominant workflow by leading and supporting the development and maintenance of Revit families, templates and project models.
• Design Innovation: Identify and implement efficiencies to improve design workflows and processes. Build and maintain standard libraries and templates while leveraging expertise to enhance project execution.

5 KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

DESIGN + REVIT EXPERIENCE

• A solid grasp of BIM processes and standards; being familiar with industry guidelines and best practices for using BIM in construction projects.
• Proficient in Revit, with a strong understanding of BIM workflows and collaboration tools.
• Ability to utilize design standards to efficiently produce BIM documentation and ensure best practices are followed.

PROJECT SUPPORT

• Support Lead Designers through managing project models throughout all phases of design and construction, ensuring coordination and accuracy.
• Perform clash detection, weekly uploads, and resolve model conflicts in coordination with design and consultant teams.
• Prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and support multiple projects and team members simultaneously.

CREATIVE CURIOSITY

• Question status quo and creatively envision possible efficiencies to better support team.
• Ability to learn and utilize past learnings to grow their experience and future design projects.
• Seek opportunities to grow knowledge of foodservice design, including product knowledge and MEP requirements.

COLLABORATION + RESPECT

• Work collaboratively and respectfully with internal teams and external consultants.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve existing workflows and implement solutions.
• Utilize Autodesk Drive and Autodesk Construction Cloud and other collaboration tools to facilitate team communication and workflow.

BIM STANDARDS DEVELOPMENT

• In collaboration with Senior designers, develop and maintain BIM standards, templates, and libraries tailored to company needs.
• Support team members in adopting and applying new standards and practices.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

DESIGN AND PROJECT SUPPORT

• Support the creation of high-quality, accurate Revit-based design packages, including layouts, elevations, sections, details, service drawings and schedules.
• Maintain awareness of project deliverables and budgets, proactively communicating progress to the team.
• Research and recommend equipment, fixtures, and design solutions to enhance project outcomes.
• Participate in client meetings to present designs at various milestone stages and support with meeting minutes.
• Manage the maintenance of Revit and CAD libraries, templates, and design standards.

DESIGN INNOVATION

• Identify inefficiencies in current workflows and communicate possible solutions.
• Participate in learning opportunities to expand products and design knowledge.
• Leverage past project experiences to enhance future design projects.
