Job summary

AECOM is seeking a BIM Specialist to support digital project delivery across multidisciplinary teams in Canada. You will bridge project teams with Digital/BIM leadership, implementing standards, improving workflows, maintaining model health, and promoting digital delivery practices.

The role emphasizes technical guidance, mentoring, and continuous improvement aligned with AECOM’s global standards. Strong Revit, coordination, and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction, building technology, or related field; equivalency accepted.
• 2+ years of BIM or digital delivery experience.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit; experience in BIM environments.
• Knowledge of BIM standards, workflows, model coordination, QA processes.
• Experience troubleshooting BIM issues and supporting project teams.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while escalating complex issues when needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain BIM environments per AECOM standards (templates, content libraries, shared parameters).
• Provide troubleshooting, guidance, and mentoring on BIM models and workflows.
• Support model health through coordination, QA, auditing, and performance optimization.
• Promote consistent workflows and digital delivery practices across projects.
• Coordinate with project teams and BIM leadership for best-practice adoption.
• Assist with onboarding and training to improve BIM adoption across teams.
