Job summary

Aecon Civil seeks an experienced BIM/IDD specialist to enable Integrated Digital Delivery across Canada and beyond. You will coordinate 3D information, ensure interoperability, and work with design, estimating and construction teams to optimize delivery.

The role requires 5+ years on large infra projects, proficiency in Revit/Navisworks/Bentley, and strong communication. On-site travel and bilingual ability are a plus.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience on large infrastructure projects.
Engineering degree or equivalent combinations of training plus experience.
Excellent knowledge of BIM standards (ISO 19650).
Experience with model federation platforms (Assemble, Navisworks, Bentley Navigator).
Experience developing Revit families and infrastructure content libraries.
Auditing Revit/Civil 3D models to meet requirements.
Experience with 4D scheduling and 5D estimation workflows.
Ability to produce and validate model-based quantity take-offs.
Experience in Common Data Environments (ProjectWise/Aconex).
Strong communication, customer-service mindset, and problem ownership.
Willingness to travel; bilingual French/English is a plus.

Responsibilities

Support BIM, GIS and digital construction across project disciplines.
Develop phased site development 2D and 3D drawings for construction.
Create corridors/sections/profiles for road design alignments.
Perform quantity take-offs using cut/fill tracking and XML extractions.
Support IDD/BIM Lead with consultant Information Managers tasks.
Provide coordination reports of interfaces between engineering disciplines.
Coordinate design to construction via IDD processes including 5D/4D.
Run IDD tools training workshops for the project team.
Coordinate with PMs/CMs to develop 3D information for estimating, logistics, scheduling.
Coordinate with field teams to meet constructability requirements.
Create project-specific data exchange protocols for interoperability.
Facilitate consultants and trades through IDD processes.
Assist in creating contract language for 3D submission and as-builts.
Review and manage Project Information Models creation.
Deploy project software and maintain CAD exchange environments.
Champion 3D coordination on site and liaise with teams.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce risk.
