Job summary

AtkinsRéalis Canada Inc. is seeking a BIM Specialist/Coordinator in Ontario to coordinate federation of BIM models, ensure standards, and manage version control across enterprise platforms. You will develop workflows, update models, and prepare coordination documentation for BEP/ISO 19650 compliance.

Responsibilities include coordinating reviews, communicating issues to design teams, and training staff on BIM/document control best practices in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, computer science, or a related field.
• Professional BIM designation or certification is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as BIM Specialist or BIM Coordinator.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate integration of discipline BIM models into federated project models and align with standards.
• Develop and maintain workflows for assembling, managing, and tracking BIM versions in enterprise systems.
• Identify model inconsistencies and coordinate resolution with design teams.
• Update BIM models and metadata to latest approved software versions used by the organization.
• Prepare coordination files and documentation per BEP, ISO 19650, and project standards.
• Respond to requests for drawings, reports, and model extracts for design/engineering teams.
• Document workflows, naming conventions, turnover procedures, and filing structures for technical records.
• Organize BIM coordination reviews and workshops, recording issues and follow-ups.
• Review BIM views/sections/details with proper scope and Level of Detail.
• Support archiving and maintenance of BIM/CAD/GIS datasets and manuals.
• Prepare transmittals and NDAs for external distribution.
• Maintain document management classification systems and BEP improvements.
• Provide training on BIM and document control standards.
