About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Billing Specialist to join our finance team in Nashville, TN. In this role, you will be responsible for managing invoicing, ensuring billing accuracy, and supporting collections efforts in a fast-paced, professional environment. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in billing or accounting who is comfortable with numbers, deadlines, and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate and process accurate and timely invoices in accordance with company policies.
• Review contracts and agreements to ensure billing compliance.
• Reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve client inquiries professionally.
• Monitor accounts receivable and assist in collections when necessary.
• Maintain organized billing records and support month-end closing processes.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate billing data.
• Prepare billing reports and summaries for management as needed.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in billing, accounting, or a related field (non-healthcare industry).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and billing/accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Clear communication and interpersonal skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
