Job description

Overview

At KPMG, you’ll join a team of diverse and dedicated problem solvers, connected by a common cause: turning insight into opportunity for clients and communities around the world.

Working in the National Billing Delivery Center within Finance, you will ensure all services are billed on a timely basis, work closely with partners to keep investment in client work in progress (WIP) to a minimum, and manage escalations. This position reports to the Billing Delivery Center Manager/Supervisor. Since the center supports all local offices across Canada, flexibility in work schedules may be required based on business needs.

What You Will Do
  1. Assist partners in initiating, preparing, reviewing, and issuing billings to the firm's clients for specific invoice request types.
  2. Support team members within the National Billing or Client Service teams with billing requests or practices inquiries.
  3. Propose and finalize billing schedules with engagement partners, set up and maintain schedules in IBS, and edit draft bills as needed.
  4. Review engagement letters to assess billing impacts, including schedules and terms.
  5. Prepare detailed WIP analysis, SOE review, and coordinate meetings with Partners to facilitate billing requests.
  6. Support Accounts Receivable activities to ensure timely invoice payments.
  7. Finalize and approve bills within IBS for Partners upon request.
  8. Process bill adjustments, such as credit notes and reversals, in consultation with engagement partners.
  9. Assist in change management efforts to standardize billing processes across geographies and teams.
  10. Engage professionally with team members to meet turnaround targets and maintain high service levels.
  11. Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and implement process improvements.
What You Bring To The Role
  1. Educational background or experience in data processing, business, or administration.
  2. Experience with enterprise resource planning systems, preferably SAP, in a professional services environment.
  3. Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  4. Flexibility to support Partners across Canada with varying schedules.
  5. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  6. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  7. Positive attitude, resilience under stress, and ability to prioritize tasks.
  8. Attention to detail, efficiency, and high-quality work output.
