Remote Robotic Systems in Canada seeks a Technical Liaison Engineer to support transferring advanced imaging-system manufacturing processes from Korea to Canada. You will coordinate across engineering, production, and quality teams in both countries to ensure clear, bilingual documentation and controlled records.

This early-career role offers exposure to technology transfer, precision manufacturing, and international collaboration, with potential extended stays in Korea.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, Engineering Physics, or related field.
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience (new graduates encouraged).
  • Professional working proficiency in Korean, including reading and interpreting technical docs.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills for clear technical documents.
  • Careful, methodical approach to requirements, records, terminology, and follow-through.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to the Republic of Korea, including extended periods.
  • Occasional early-morning or late-evening meetings to support cross-time-zone collaboration.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain Canadian security clearance and CGP registration.
  • On-site work in Kanata, Ontario.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a bilingual specification register with owners, dates, and open items.
  • Manage an open-questions log and close unresolved items across Canada and Korea.
  • Prepare bilingual minutes for technical calls and flag language discrepancies.
  • Develop and maintain a shared engineering glossary for imaging, calibration, and quality terms.
  • Escalate incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous information to engineering/decision-makers.
  • Translate and localize work instructions, manuals, calibration procedures, and process specs into controlled Canadian docs.
  • Ensure localization preserves technical intent, acceptance criteria, traceability, and quality requirements.
  • Support staged localization of camera-system assembly, end-of-line testing, and related processes.
  • Establish document-control practices for training, certification, and audits.
