Oliver James Group is seeking a Senior Underwriting Assistant for a premier global carrier in the Financial Lines team, based in Montreal, QC, or Toronto, ON. The role supports end-to-end processing and collaborates with underwriters in a market-leading environment.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English and French (oral and written).
• 1–3 years of commercial insurance experience.
• Ability to anticipate client needs and act proactively.
• Attention to detail and compliant documentation.

Responsibilities

• Account management of complex International Major Accounts (Revenue > $250M CAD) within Financial Lines.
• Collaborate with underwriters and Center of Excellence partners to deliver tailored solutions for new business and renewals.
• Attend broker and client meetings as requested by the underwriting team.
• Mentor junior team members and share technical guidance.
