Job summary

Sun Life is seeking a Director, Advanced Underwriting - Mentorship in Canada. This role partners with case managers, advisors and reinsurers to assess medical, personal and financial risk up to $200 million while mentoring and developing team members.

The role requires extensive experience as an Individual Life Underwriter, ALU/FALU/FLMI designations and fluent French/English for cross-Canada interactions. Hybrid work model and strong growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

10–15 years of experience as an Individual Life Underwriter.
ALU certificate and commitment to ongoing education with a goal of attaining FALU and FLMI designations.
Bilingual in French and English for frequent interactions across Canada and worldwide.

Responsibilities

Analyze insurance applications and evidence of insurability.
Lead HNW case reviews and mentor team members to support career development.
Collaborate with case managers, advisors and reinsurers to assess medical, personal and financial risk up to $200 million.
