Qualifications

• Pharmacy Assistant diploma or minimum 2 years full‑time pharmacy experience.
• Kroll data entry is a strong asset.
• Retail pharmacy experience is a strong asset.
• Bilingualism is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform all technical aspects of dispensing prescriptions, including receiving the order/refill, procuring complete and current information, computer entry, preparation and labeling in an efficient, accurate and timely fashion.
• Identify and refer any clinical questions to the pharmacists and management questions to the pharmacist manager or pharmacist on duty.
• Maintain current and accurate patient profile information.
• Clerical duties including completing all records, documentation and patient or third party billings/charges, preparing receipts, invoices, letters, memos and general filing.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills at the cash area.
• Handle cash register and credit/debit card usage.
• Scan and file prescriptions.
• Assist Pharmacy Manager and pharmacists by answering patient inquiries and requests over the phones.
• Perform duties as assigned.
