Job summary

DCM is seeking a bilingual Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate weekly and biweekly payroll for unionized and non-unionized staff. You will maintain ADP records, process year-end filings, and partner with HR, Finance, and Operations to resolve issues in a hybrid Toronto/Brampton setting.

You will drive process improvements, stay current with Canadian payroll legislation, and deliver timely reports and remittances.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or diploma with a Canadian payroll designation (PCP or PLP).
• 5–8 years of full-cycle payroll processing in a unionized environment.
• Experience with payroll reconciliations including T4s and source deductions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Bilingual English and French is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle payroll processing weekly and biweekly for unionized and non-unionized staff.
• Address timecard inquiries and ensure accurate data transfer to payroll systems.
• Maintain ADP HRIS records for hires, changes, and terminations.
• Prepare and submit third-party remittance reports as required.
• Generate payroll reports on ad hoc, monthly, quarterly, and annual bases.
• Oversee year-end processes and reconcile deductions with remittance data.
• Collaborate with HR, Accounting/Finance, and Operations to gather payroll information.
• Audit payroll data for compliance with legislation and internal policies.
