Summary:

As a bilingual Occupational Health and Safety Analyst, you will be the initial person involved in employment incident and injury cases. You will take charge of new cases and open case files.

Responsibilities:

  • Create new occupational injury case files
  • Assume responsibility for the cases assigned to you and gather all the information needed to open a case
  • Notify the claims management consultant who is in charge of the client when a serious incident requires their intervention
  • When necessary, enter opposing comments in case files and, when the case has been accepted, do follow-up to see if there are sufficient grounds to contest
  • Monitor case progress and determine the appropriate management strategy
  • Request independent medical examinations for cases as required
  • Personalize and forward requests for modified work as required
  • Assist the consultant with cost-sharing requests and cost-allocation follow-up
  • Perform any other related tasks

To be a successful Bilingual Occupational Health and Safety Analyst, you will have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bilingual fluency in English and French is required
  • College diploma in legal techniques or other relevant training
  • Good understanding of occupational injury management (AIAOD and jurisprudence)
  • Self-starter, initiative and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines despite a significant volume of work and deal routinely with unexpected request from clients or team consultants
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and customer-service focus
