The YMCA of Greater Toronto leads and delivers multiple National initiatives across Canada, including the Summer Work Student Exchange Program (SWSE), Youth Exchange Canada Program (YEC), funded by Canadian Heritage and the YMCA Community Action Network (YCAN), part of the Canada Service Corps.

The Bilingual Marketing Coordinator is responsible for developing, executing, and evaluating bilingual, multi-channel marketing campaigns that promote national programs and support their strategic goals. This role works closely with the national program team to align campaign strategies with program objectives, applying strong business acumen, audience targeting, and marketing insights. It manages the creation of bilingual marketing materials and ensures timely response to day-to-day program marketing needs. The Coordinator also oversees the delivery of the annual program marketing plan, contributing to consistent national visibility and engagement.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop quarterly and annual marketing plans by creating campaign briefs, managing media agency relationships, and executing campaigns to support National Programs in collaboration with the Marketing Manager
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (program leads and stakeholders, Digital Marketing, external communication, graphic design, and operations) to ensure campaign strategy, brand, and product value propositions are reflected in all communications (print, email, app, and digital)
  • Identify and pursue program outreach initiatives by collaborating with YMCA associations across Canada and other relevant organizations
  • Create recruitment strategies to support acquisition and retention of National Programs staff and participants
  • Lead the development and maintenance of project trackers (workback schedules, content calendar, etc.) and produce interim and annual outreach reports for program funders
  • Develop and support a civic engagement strategy to increase national exposure
  • Provide administrative support for invoice processing, budgeting, and report preparation
  • Provide translation support for various programs by coordinating with translation consultants and keeping communication assets up to date
  • Perform other duties as assigned

You bring:

  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business Administration or related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Fluently bilingual in both English and French and able to communicate both verbally and in writing
  • 2–4 years of related experience is required
  • Experience in developing and implementing quarterly and annual marketing plans, and multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Experience or significant interest in: marketing, planning, advertising, copywriting, lead generation, presentations, project management, cross-organizational communication, social media, print, digital, and public relations
  • In-depth knowledge of managing and monitoring social media platforms
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in project management dashboards (e.g. Smartsheet)
  • Strong and creative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and works well independently
  • Works well under pressure, across multiple projects, with multiple deadlines
  • Well-developed interpersonal and relationship-building skills; ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with members, staff, and volunteers
  • This position may require travel 2–3 times per year out of province
  • Excellent understanding of diversity, inclusion, and equity including the ability to identify and address barriers, work effectively with diverse stakeholders, and integrate equity into program design
  • Focus on the health, safety and wellbeing of all children, youth, and vulnerable people in YMCA programs including understanding legal and moral obligations related to reporting suspected child abuse to Child Protection Services
