Job Description Summary

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Respond to manager and employee inquiries regarding company policies and procedures.
  • Respond to escalated service now tickets, CanadaHR emails and voicemails.
  • Support the HRBP with employee relations, including participating or leading investigations, interviews and provide recommended actions.
  • Prepare required progressive discipline documentation and follow up with management on completion.
  • Prepare termination documents and participate in meetings if necessary.
  • Assist managers on the interpretation of company policies, how to handle and document employee situations; prepare related documentation as needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of department and HR related processes.
  • Manage Monthly Turnover Reporting and provide analysis trends through analysis of Workday reporting and exit interviews.
  • Administration of all HR programs such as the boot and tool allowance, tuition reimbursement, Employee Relief Fund
  • Administer and track invoices for HR related programs and services.
  • Booking of post-accident drug and alcohol testing, reasonable suspicion testing, and follow up testing, and Management of the Return to Duty process.
  • Respond to government surveys, as required.
  • Maintain and conduct orientations, presentations, and information sessions, as required.
  • Manage the quarterly Canada newsletter
  • Visit branch locations as required.
  • Participate in HR related projects such as system testing and acquisitions, as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Speaks, reads and writes fluently in French and English.
  • Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management.
  • CHRP designation or working towards designation preferred.
  • 2 to 3 years’ experience in a similar Human Resources role.
  • Must have thorough understanding of relevant provincial employment standards acts and other applicable legislation.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills including conflict resolution and negotiating abilities.
  • Strong discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism skills.
  • Intuitive and resourceful
  • Strong decision-making and problem solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft; intermediate to advanced computer skills with experience in HRIS systems, report writing and data analysis.

The role provides support remotely to locations across Quebec, Ontario and the Maritimes.

  • Préparer la documentation requise en matière de mesures disciplinaires progressives et en assurer le suivi auprès de la direction.
  • Préparer les documents de cessation d'emploi et participer aux réunions, au besoin.
  • Assister les gestionnaires dans l'interprétation des politiques de l'entreprise, la gestion et la documentation des situations des employés ; préparer la documentation connexe au besoin.
  • Participer à l'amélioration continue des services et des processus RH.
  • Gérer les rapports mensuels sur le roulement du personnel et fournir des analyses des tendances grâce à l'analyse des rapports Workday et des entrevues de départ.
  • Administration de tous les programmes RH, tels que l'indemnité pour bottes et outils, le remboursement des frais de scolarité et le Fonds de secours aux employés.
  • Administrer et suivre les factures des programmes et services RH.
  • Prendre rendez-vous pour les tests de dépistage de drogues et d'alcool après accident, les tests de suspicion raisonnable et les tests de suivi, et gérer le processus de retour au travail.
  • Répondre aux enquêtes gouvernementales, au besoin.
  • Gérer et animer des séances d'orientation, des présentations et des séances d'information, au besoin.
  • Gérer le bulletin trimestriel du Canada.
  • Visiter les succursales au besoin.

Qualifications

  • Parler, lire et écrire couramment le français et l'anglais.
  • Diplôme en gestion des ressources humaines.
  • Titre de CRHA ou en voie d'obtention, un atout.
  • Deux à trois ans d'expérience dans un poste similaire en ressources humaines.
  • Excellente compréhension des lois provinciales sur les normes d'emploi et des autres lois applicables.
  • Une attention particulière aux détails.
  • Excellente gestion du temps.
  • Excellentes compétences en communication orale et écrite.
  • Excellentes compétences interpersonnelles et en coaching, y compris en résolution de conflits et en négociation.
  • Excellentes compétences en discrétion, en confidentialité et en professionnalisme.
  • Intuitif et débrouillard.
  • Excellentes compétences en prise de décision et en résolution de problèmes.
  • Solides compétences en prise de décision et en résolution de problèmes
  • Maîtrise de Microsoft ; compétences informatiques intermédiaires à avancées avec expérience des systèmes SIRH, de la rédaction de rapports et de l'analyse de données.
