Job summary

IPEX is seeking a bilingual Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Specialist to support and maintain HSE management systems across a multi-site environment. You will contribute to strategy development, training, and performance monitoring while traveling across sites with travel expenses covered by IPEX.

The role requires strong regulatory knowledge (WHMIS, TDG, CSA) and collaboration with local teams to strengthen health and safety culture.

Qualifications

• College diploma or university degree in Health, Safety & Environment or a related field (bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Professional certifications such as CRSP/CRST, CSP, ASP, CIH, OHST, CPE, CCPE, or equivalent are assets.
• Five to seven years of experience in a Health, Safety & Environment role within distribution, manufacturing, or construction environments.
• Fluency in English and French, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Support Distribution Centre leadership in implementing HSE programs and adapting initiatives to local requirements.
• Promote and drive HSE activities across multiple sites to enhance employee engagement and best practices.
• Collaborate with the HSE team to develop procedures, work instructions, and new initiatives.
• Conduct gap analyses and develop corrective action plans.
• Ensure HSE regulatory compliance audits are completed.
• Participate in investigations related to incidents, accidents, non-conformances, and environmental events, and follow up on corrective actions.
