Job summary

GB Language Centre is seeking a Part-Time Bilingual Language Examiner to support the daily operations of our test centre. Upon certification, you will conduct professional language assessments in French and English, administering standardized exams and preparing objective reports.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and fluent in both French and English, with strong administrative and client-facing skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree, or equivalent professional experience, in a relevant field.
• Experience in language assessment, linguistics, translation, education, or a related field.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer, supervise, and support official language examinations in accordance with established procedures and standards.
• Evaluate candidates' French language proficiency, including oral comprehension and oral expression, using standardized assessment tools and criteria.
• Analyze assessment outcomes and prepare clear, accurate, and objective evaluation reports.
• Apply recognized language frameworks, evaluation standards, and scoring rubrics consistently, fairly, and impartially.
• Safeguard the integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism of the entire assessment process.
• Provide professional, structured guidance to candidates where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate administrative records, databases, and assessment documentation.
• Support test-day operations by giving clear instructions, monitoring procedures, and ensuring an orderly and compliant testing environment.
• Communicate effectively in both French and English with candidates and partner organizations regarding assessment-related matters.
• Assist with candidate registration, scheduling, document verification, and photo-related requirements.
• Handle confidential information with the highest level of discretion and care.
• Provide general administrative and operational support to the testing centre as required.
