Job summary

Securitas Canada is seeking an administrative finance professional in Ottawa to process payments, manage data entry, and support financial operations across the Eastern Canada region. The role requires English and French fluency, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.

You will prepare financial reports, handle billing adjustments, verify invoices, and assist with expense reimbursements and accounts payable duties.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Accounting or Business, related field required.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a similar role required.
  • Bilingualism required (English and French).

Responsibilities

  • Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Perform data entry and day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables’ data.
  • Work with District Managers and other management leaders and provide information and advice for financial operations.
  • Prepare various financial reports, as required, and ensure accuracy for each report.
  • Prepare billing adjustments and invoice correction.
  • Verify account coding and obtain appropriate approval for invoice processing.
  • Verify employee expenses and submit for reimbursement
  • Manage uniform inventory, preparing uniforms and contacting security guards at the direction of the Area Trainer.
  • Provide reception support during lunch breaks, answering phone and assisting with visitor inquiries.
  • Perform Accounts Payable duties, answering inquiries from clients and internal staff.
  • Support leadership in other areas within the Eastern Canada region.
  • Other duties as required.

Position Specifications
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Excel
  • Must possess excellent communication (both oral and written) and people skills to work with internal and external clients.
  • Excellent planning, organizing, and project coordination skills coupled with a high attention to deal as well as the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Must have a strong ability to effectively problem solve, along with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
