Venor is proud to partner with Interfor in their search for a Bilingual Electrical Supervisor to join their team in Bathurst and Belledune, New Brunswick.

The Opportunity

As Electrical Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment on site, leading electrical projects and shutdowns, and ensuring safety and efficiency standards are met. You’ll work closely with the Maintenance team to ensure plant production continuity, while mentoring and supporting a team of electricians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support, develop, and improve electrical systems to optimize intervention efficiency while maintaining safety standards.
  • Develop and implement internal policies, procedures, and best practices for electrical maintenance and manufacturing systems.
  • Prepare, review, and execute system maintenance plans, including PLC/HMI troubleshooting.
  • Lead root cause analysis efforts and implement preventative measures to reduce downtime.
  • Mentor and train a team of electricians to build technical capacity and ensure compliance.
  • Manage budgets and ensure cost control within the department.
  • Coordinate resources effectively to respond to evolving plant needs.
  • Bilingual in French and English.
  • Perform other related tasks as required.

What you bring

  • Interprovincial electrical or instrumentation license with Red Seal certification.
  • Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Safety Code.
  • 5+ years of experience in a sawmill or industrial processing environment.
  • Proficiency with Allen-Bradley PLC systems.
  • Familiarity with Autolog Systems, Comact optimizers, RMC-100/150 hydraulic controllers, YASKAWA VFDS, and Schneider Softstarters is considered a strong asset.
  • Experience with Studio5000, RSLogix 5000, and CX-Programmer.
  • Proven leadership in health and safety, with solid knowledge of related best practices.
  • Competency in MS Office (Word and Excel).
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • A team player who thrives in fast-paced, results-driven environments.
