Job summary

Cogir Senior Living, Heritage Residence in Ottawa, is seeking a casual part-time server fluent in French and English to support dining services for residents and guests. You will assist with set-up, tray delivery, and post-meal cleanup while ensuring a welcoming, respectful dining experience.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards. Prior food service with seniors is preferred; accommodation is available upon request.

Qualifications

• Preference for experience in food service with seniors.
• Excellent customer service skills and a friendly attitude.
• Full professional proficiency in both French and English.
• Physically able to lift and stand for long periods; ability to work in a dining room.
• VPS within 6 months or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• To serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• To set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service as required.
• To assist with cleaning of dishware and utensils after service.
• To maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas as required.
• To assist with catering and participate in special events and theme days.
• To participate in orientation and training of new staff.
• To uphold the organization’s values and comply with safety procedures.
