Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Server to join our bright dining room and support with all aspects of dining services for our retirement residence. The role involves setting tables, serving residents, assisting with dishware, and helping with special events while upholding safety and resident rights.

We value teamwork, excellent customer service, and a willingness to train and mentor new staff. Fluency in French and English is required, and VPS screening is expected within six months.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience, especially with seniors.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Fluent in both French and English.
• Must be able to lift and stand for long shifts.
• Second language is a plus.
• VPS screening within 6 months or willing to obtain one on hire.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service as required.
• Assist with cleaning of dishware and dining area as required.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining area.
• Assist with catering and participate in special events and themes.
• Assist in orientation and training of new culinary staff.
• Follow health and safety regulations and department procedures.
• Uphold Residents' Rights and promote the company Code of Conduct.
• Attend in-service trainings and staff meetings as required.
