Job summary

BMO Financial Group in Canada is hiring for a customer service and lending advisor within a contact centre. You will understand customer needs, advise on lending strategies, and process requests per approved procedures while maintaining confidentiality.

You will integrate promotions, handle referrals, and stay updated on personal banking products and industry trends. Flexible hours include Asian market shifts, with salaried compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (or relevant work experience).
• Fluent in written and spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
• Comfortable working in a Contact Centre handling inbound calls.
• Knowledge of personal banking products.
• Knowledge of competitive marketplace and current product trends.
• Knowledge of contact centre policies and operational processes.
• Knowledge of call centre technology, processes and metrics.
• Basic on‑the‑job knowledge.
• Verbal & written communication skills – basic level.
• Organization and teamwork skills – basic level.
• Shift: Asian Market hours; fully flexible including holidays.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer needs and provide credit and lending‑related sales and service.
• Advise customers on lending/credit strategies and products meeting their objectives.
• Fulfill sales and service activities per approved procedures.
• Identify and refer complex cases to other business groups as needed.
• Integrate marketing promotions into customer conversations when appropriate.
• Maintain knowledge of personal banking products and trends.
• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to meet business objectives.
• Ensure confidentiality of customer and Bank information.
• Report suspicious activity related to money laundering and comply with AML/FCAC rules.
• Complete standardized tasks under supervision and escalate when needed.
