Job summary

The Borden Family Resource Centre in New Lowell, Ontario is seeking a Child Care Navigator to assist families in identifying and accessing affordable, high-quality early learning programs. You will advocate for families, provide subsidy guidance, and connect them with resources.

You will build partnerships, support registry activities, and help families navigate licensing requirements while promoting inclusive services.

Qualifications

• Completed post-secondary studies (minimum 2-year program) in ECE, Social Work, Child and Youth Care, Human Services or related field.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both French and English.
• Understanding of Ontario child care licensing regulations, subsidy frameworks, and community resources.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Prepared to work flexible hours.
• Criminal record check and vulnerable sector screening required.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certificates.

Responsibilities

• Assist families in identifying, accessing, and securing high-quality, affordable early learning programs.
• Provide direct advocacy, registry support, and subsidy guidance.
• Serve as the bridge between families seeking early learning programs and available resources.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with community resources and staff.
• Contribute to outreach and workshop activities.
