Job Description

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving Growth and Retention of our existing clients.

Job Description

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving Growth and Retention of our existing clients.

Growth is measured by both revenue and gross profit improvement. Growth is achieved through the closure of product voids, the execution of marketing programs and the expansion of services offered.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop client Growth Plans to drive business results while upgrading client refreshments program and/or selling in new products and providing updates on progress v plan.
  • Build client rapport by answering questions regarding products, services, or pricing to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Execute regularly scheduled client visitations and semi-annual business reviews with clients to better understand their needs and how to serve them better.
  • Pursue and secure contract renewals
  • Document client visits with respect to opportunities, risks, and actions plans utilizing assigned tools (i.e. Salesforce.com).
  • Improve client retention by collaborating with key stakeholders in the Market Center and resolving issues in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Provide input into client pricing and investments that will drive territory revenue and gross profit.
  • Sell existing clients expanded product/program offerings, program upgrades, and ensure distribution on targeted items resulting in territory revenue plan achievement.
  • Provide local support of client rebids, and developing and executing plans to mitigate risk of client loss.
  • Ensure client contract compliance and successful execution of pricing changes.
  • Identify potential new clients for Aramark within the assigned territory, and provide qualified leads to Account Executives.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned including participation in Market Center meetings, communication and events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor?s Degree preferred in Sales, Business Administration/Management, Marketing and/or other business development related fields.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in sales and/or sales management.
  • Negotiation, communication, organization, sales leadership, financial acumen and computer skills are critical to the success of this role.
  • The ability to work efficiently and independently are important as well with 60%+ of time being spent in the field.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.com a plus.
  • Must excel at presenting ideas and concepts to large groups at various levels internally and externally.
  • Sales and account management experience in a position requiring heavy public contact.
  • The ability to manage complex customers and selling situations.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must have a valid driver?s license.
