Job summary

Iceberg Finance Inc. is seeking a versatile BI Developer to join our Data Team and help shape a modern analytics platform. You will design real-world data pipelines, build semantic models used by business teams, and deliver Power BI solutions that empower strategic and operational decisions.

You will work with SQL, Python, Spark, and Power BI within a small, agile team where your ideas and contributions have a direct impact on the business. This is not a maintenance role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in BI, data integration, data engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, or strong experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and/or Azure Data Factory, with a willingness to quickly become proficient in Fabric.
• Advanced knowledge of Power BI, including DAX, Power Query (M), semantic model design, and performance optimization.
• Strong SQL skills, proficiency in Python, and experience using Spark for data transformation and processing.
• Experience with Git, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows.
• Ability to communicate in English and French.

Iceberg Finance is undergoing a major transformation. We are migrating our entire data platform to Microsoft Fabric and building our modern analytics ecosystem from the ground up. We are looking for a versatile BI Developer to join our Data Team and help shape this new platform.

This is not a maintenance role.

You will design real-world data pipelines, build semantic models that are actively used by business teams, and deliver Power BI solutions that drive strategic and operational decision-making. You will work with SQL, Python, Spark, and Power BI within a small, agile team where your ideas and contributions have a direct impact on the business.

What We're Looking For

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Integration, Data Engineering, or a related field.

Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data Ecosystem

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, or strong experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and/or Azure Data Factory, combined with a willingness to quickly become proficient in Fabric.

Power BI Expertise

• Advanced knowledge of Power BI, including:
  • DAX
  • Power Query (M)
  • Semantic model design
  • Performance optimization

Core Technical Skills

• Strong SQL skills.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience using Spark for data transformation and processing.

Engineering Practices

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with Azure DevOps.
• Experience in finance, consumer credit, lending, or fintech environments.
• Knowledge of data governance and privacy compliance practices.
• Experience with Power BI Embedded, Row-Level Security (RLS), or report automation.
• Knowledge of Data Vault or dimensional modeling (Kimball methodology).
