Job summary

MNP is seeking a Benefits Advisor to join our National Human Capital - Benefits team. This bilingual role requires English and French fluency and four years in group benefits, including absence and leave case management.

You will develop, advise, and administer health, wellness, benefits, and rewards programs, ensuring best-in-class service and strong vendor partnerships. You will draft communications, manage campaigns like Annual Enrolment, and support mergers, acquisitions, and invoicing

Qualifications

• Written and verbal English and French language skills required.
• At least four years of progressive experience in group benefits, including absence and leave case management.
• Completion of Group Benefits Associate (GBA) 1 or 2 considered an asset.
• Strong analytical capabilities with ability to interpret data and support decision-making.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables) and Word/PowerPoint."

Responsibilities

• Provide bilingual (French/English) support to Team Members on benefits and retirement savings programs.
• Partner with external vendors to ensure high-quality service delivery and adherence to SLAs.
• Draft, translate, and publish benefits communications in French and English.
• Collaborate cross-functionally on campaigns and program launches.
• Maintain SharePoint content for benefits resources.
• Support mergers and acquisitions with benefits analyses and integration planning.
• Manage inquiries via ServiceNow; triage, resolve, and escalate as needed.
• Facilitate leave of absence case management end-to-end.
• Support Annual Enrolment with financial models in Excel and UAT testing.
• Communicate clearly on benefits and retirement savings to stakeholders.
• Produce monthly reports with Excel (formulas, pivots, data validation).
• Update employee data in HCMS with accuracy and consistency.
• Prepare and validate monthly invoicing and coordinate remittance with Finance.
• Track premium payments and reconcile payroll deductions.
• Audit eligibility and data integrity; identify improvement opportunities.
• Maintain vendor communications and monitor service outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and tools.
• Engage in continuous learning on benefits and HR practices.
• Monitor federal and provincial legislation changes and update programs accordingly.
• Build understanding of MNP’s business to provide relevant support.
• Collaborate within the Human Capital team and share knowledge.
